Balinese Food Traditions x Plaga Wine pairing
Galungan is a Balinese holiday celebrating the victory of dharma over adharma. It marks the time when the ancestral spirits visit the Earth. The last day of the celebration is Kuningan, when they return. On Galugan & Kuningan Celebration we paired Plaga Wine and traditional Balinese food
1. Nasi Lawar & Chardonnay
Lawar made from a mixture of vegetables, coconut and minced meat mixed with rich herbs and spices best to paired with Chardonnay A good balance of acidity with sweetness enhances its character.
2. Nasi Babi Guling
Nasi Babi Guling is pork stuffed with base genep and slow-roasted on an open fire until the skin is crispy and the meat succulent best to paired with Cabernet Merlot sweetness from Cabernet Merlot will balance the juicy from the meat and spiciness from base genep. Create the big structure in mouth.
3. Sate lilit is made from minced pork, fish, chicken, beef, or even turtle meat, which is then mixed with grated coconut, thick coconut milk, lemon juice, shallots, and pepper best pair with Sweet Rose A pleasant surprise, from tasty and rich rich flavour sate creates a sweet, young but balanced wine with a long and clean finish.
