Mades warung was established in 1969 and has become a social eating and meeting venue for locals, expats and tourists alike. It has grown from a traditional roadside warung into a cosmopolitan restaurant serving a variety of local and international food in Bali.
Mades warung has been a trademark as must to visit restaurant in Bali. Located at tourist destination such as Berawa ( Canggu ), Seminyak, Kuta, and in case you miss it oh no you will never miss it because they also have their restaurant in Ngurah Rai Airport both domestic and International terminal.
Celebrate our wine of the month Cabernet Merlot, we pairing with some of Warung Made’s famous dishes : Nasi Goreng Warung Made & Pizza Made.
The classic red wine blend, Cabernet Merlot is so popular because these two grape varieties fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a fine structure, i.e. tannins and acidity, while the Merlot fills it with fruit flavours like plums and cherries. Cabernet also gives hallmark cassis/ blackcurrant nuances to this blend. The Merlot has little structure but is full of fruity flavours whereas the Cab Sauv possesses a robust structure. It’s the latter fruit that gives the wine its characteristic lingering finish. The richness of Balinese spies goes beautifully with the tannins. The combination of the two results in the Cabernet Merlot providing a smoother mouthfeel.
On the other side, The Pizza is nothing much questioned because this wine is a match made in heaven!
Pairing with our white, Plaga Chardonnay is a perfect match for Made’s Warung Nasi Campur, As adaptable as Chardonnay is, sauces can turn pairings on their heads butter, oil , santan and cream-based sauces tend to work beautifully when paired with oaked Chardonnay wines.
